Julio Bobadilla is a Mexican director, editor and assistant director based in Guadalajara, México.
As a director, he has collaborated with the Reforma Newspaper in Mexico City and with production companies such as Unlimited Films, Nahuyaca Films and Panorámica Films In Guadalajara. He directed various documentary short films for the 2018 MORENA Presidential Campaign such as the series "Los Olvidados - Hitalivy," which won the award for Best Viral Ad in an Electoral Campaign at the 2018 Reed Latino Awards. He also has directed commercials and music videos for Jack Daniel’s, Ford, University of Guadalajara, Checo Pérez Foundation, FEMSA Group, Banda La Adictiva and Diferente Nivel.
As an editor and post-producer, he has worked with major production companies such as CANANA FILMS and CAPONETO in Mexico City.
As an Assistant Director, he has been part of significant commercial projects for international clients such as Amazon Music, Charly ft. Call of Duty, Saba, Tajin, Pocari Sweat, JK Tyre, Galletas Dondé and Megacable with production companies like Florence, Terciopelo Films, Rabbit House, Unlimited Films, Nahuyaca Films, Mango Films, MUT, Encinta and Elena Cinema. He also has worked on many music videos for artists such as Alejandro Fernández, Panteón Rococó, Ana Torroja, Siddhartha and Cristian Nodal.
In 2023 he was AD to director Úrzula Barba Hopfner in her first feature film "CORINA," starring Mexican actress Naian González Norvind (New Order, 2020) and Mexican actor Cristo Fernández (Ted Lasso, 2021), scheduled for theatrical release in 2024. And recently, he was AD (his 6th feature) in USA - México Co-production "DAY OF THE DEAD" to directors Brian Conley and Nathan Ives.
